Re: Day 6- BLUE vs. RED
Sorry it took so long to get in here. Had trouble falling asleep last night so I slept in.
This is a tough decision, and one I don't take lightly. I don't want to blow it for the civs. I'm especially troubled by faraday's vote, and I have a hard time believing that he didn't know what he was doing.
Gonna put on another pot of coffee and think it over with a smoke.

Re: Day 6- BLUE vs. RED
Think about the case against me while you're out there. There is none. Epi voted for me because I didn't gun for you hard enough today. Long Con voted for me because reasons. I've been actively baddie hunting this entire game. It sucks to get offed so late in the game when you've put so much effort into it.

OK, so here's my thought process. It's down to two people who've been gunning for me for a while. One of them has been doing it without providing any form of justification by my recollection; and that's DFaraday. Then today he came in after I said that I thought the first two votes placed were civ votes and placed his vote on me to place me in this position. I think it was part of some odd plan to set me up if I lynched llama and the NK got blocked, and I'm not walking into that trap. I hope I'm doing the right thing.
Vote DFaraday.

Re: Night 6- BLUE vs. RED
MOST PEOPLE ARE REALLY NICE

Case in point: disgraced ex-Senator Ted Cruz. While his federal investigation is still ongoing and exposing other members of this farcically-named Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy, you wouldn't know how big a deal this was because it keeps getting overshadowed by other things. Like former Clinton advisor Sidney Blumenthal and Operation Cobalt member and former Florida Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz disappearing on the same day, despite being under elite government protection.
Does Ted Cruz and his fact-based, results-producing trial matter when people can report on missing persons and conspiratorial whodunits? Apparently not. Does Cruz ratting out what appear to be low-level supporters in his attempt to obstruct the President amount to news when the Podesta emails lead to family drama in the White House? Nah. It's way more important these days to elevate gossip-column non-critical issues to headline news. While it may be newsworthy to share that Chelsea Clinton has left the White House after another wave of John Podesta's emails reveal even nastier things Hillary's staff said about her last year, the media's obsession with covering this story sucks all the fun out of watching Ted Cruz squirm under the microscope.
This, among other things, is just another reminder that life just isn't fair.

I fully support the redistribution of Hillary Points. I love Hillary Points and can't get enough of them. For a good portion of this game I've had the most Hillary Points behind a dead person (SVS). If Hillary liked SVS so much, then why was SVS booted from the administration?
If I was correct about the first two votes from yesterday being civ, then Wilgy, Epi, and I are civ. That only leaves llama and LC. That said, Epi and LC have largely been above suspicion in a game that's currently on night 6 with only one baddie lynched. I see it being either a llama/LC team or a Wilgy/Epi team. Despite my previous suspicion of Epi and my previous civ read on LC, I think a llama/LC team is more likely.
I just don't know.

Let's hope we can grab this lynch like a pussycat and stroke it into submission.
I do find it highly unlikely that this will happen though. I am 93% sure that the game will be ending at roughly 5:30 pm EST.

Endgame: BLUE vs. RED
TAKIN' CARE OF BUSINESS

[intro music plays]
GLENN: We're now a week into Hillary Clinton's administration. Russian soldiers disguised as rebels have begun to stir up unrest in the Baltic states. North Korea is vowing nuclear missile tests in the coming days. Iran continues to harass American naval vessels in the Persian Gulf. All of this should be news. Instead, Hillary Clinton and her absolute train wreck of an Administration has the nation's attention fixated upon just how idiotic and corrupt her people are.
PAT: You're just upset because it's something we knew already.
GLENN: I suppose that's part of it. But it's astonishing just how much corruption is being exposed here.
STU: It's become such a distraction to domestic and international policy issues that her approval numbers are abysmal.
GLENN: You know I don't pay attention to approval ratings but you've got me curious. What are we talking about here?
STU: We're one week in and she's at 25%. All the election and staff scandals are weighing her down.
GLENN: Wow. That's crazy.
PAT: You know that 25% is all the people who voted for her without thought.
GLENN: Well of course. They're completely in the tank for her. I don't think you'd ever get much lower because there are democrats who just don't care about these kinds of things. True-blue loyalists that can't be swayed.
STU: Let's get back on track here. We're leading our poor listeners on.
GLENN: Right. Well the Podesta emails strike again. Hillary Clinton's campaign manager and counselor, Robby Mook, resigned this morning. The latest batch released by Julian Assange's surrogates include correspondence that reveals Mook was working with low-lever operatives and community organizers to send paid agitators to Donald Trump and Ted Cruz rallies in an attempt to get Trump and Cruz supporters to turn violent in front of TV cameras and photojournalists. Some of these paid plants were pretending to be Trump and Cruz supporters and committed acts of violence and shouted racist and sexist comments from the crowd to get others to do the same.
PAT: Really, the only people who ought to be shocked by this are democrats who don't know how their party operates.
STU: I wonder where she goes from here.
PAT: Jail would be nice.
GLENN: No. No, we're not that lucky.

Game Over: BLUE vs. RED
STRONGER

"Good afternoon," she began. "I think it goes without saying that my first week in office has been... turbulent. Surprises and controversies are things that every President before me has dealt with. They are unavoidable. They sneak up on you and demand your time, energy, and resources.
"It is how a President responds to these events that history remembers. No President ever wants to make the wrong choice but sometimes it's hard to know what the right choice is. Sometimes there is no right choice. Occasionally, you are left to choose between several different courses of action that have pros that are desirable along with cons that cannot be avoidable. In politics, as in life, there is seldom a perfect solution to complicated matters.
"In the course of my life, I have been accused of many hurtful and factually incorrect things. But I fought on. I have had my name and the names of my family members slandered and drug through the mud for real or perceived mistakes. But I fought on. Even now, there are rumors and stories floating around about what I know and what I don't know. Let me be clear- I know what I know; end of story. Any blogger or pundit who thinks they can tell you my next move or what I really think about all the turmoil my administration has been dealing with is kidding themselves and leading you astray.
"I've been fighting for causes my whole life. I've fought for women's rights. I've fought for children's rights. I've fought for the right for people to have affordable health care. I have a long record of being a fighter. At this time, however, I have to call upon the wisdom of the old adage, 'pick your battles.' In my lifetime I have picked my battles well, fought hard, and usually came out on top.
"I realize that all the scandals, real and imagined, unveiled in the last week have become a distraction. My administration has lost time, energy, and resources to dealing with many of the things you have read about in the papers and online, or saw on the nightly news. My instinct tells me to fight on. It takes a strong person to stand and fight. But sometimes, it takes a stronger person to know when to stand down.
"My administration has lost political capital over these incidents and without political capital, it is almost impossible to get anything done in Washington. I did not reach this decision lightly, believe me. But in the interest of restoring common ground and progress as a nation, I see no other choice but to step aside and let others do the important work that voters selected me to do last November. It is with a heavy heart that I am resigning from the office of President of the United States of America effective immediately. In a few minutes, Vice President Vilsack will be sworn into office and America can have a fresh start. A re-start.
"To everyone who has become disappointed by the actions of my staff and those I associate with, I am sorry. For those of you who expected more from me as your first woman President, I am sorry. To those who do not wish me to step down and still believe that I can produce the kind of change that America needs, I am sorry. It has been an honor to serve my country in every position I have held. While I'd have liked to do more, I believe that America needs something else at this time. Thank you."
Everyone was stunned. Across the nation, millions watched with their mouths agape at what they had just witnessed. Some cried tears of sadness, while others cried tears of joy. Members of the Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy would watch the speech again that evening, drinking champagne, smoking cigars, and patting each other on the back. Ted Cruz was still on trial but they had enough resources to broker a plea deal. That alone would prevent Cruz from ratting out any of the major players.
As for the incoming President Vilsack, the VRWC weren't too concerned. They would keep the pressure on this new President to walk back any controversial plans or views that his predecessor established before him. The fight against the spread of liberalism was far from over but on this night (and several after), they celebrated their monumental victory.
