Elemental Mafia has begun!

This is a Last Man Standing game. You will vote to lynch someone each day. Each day, also, you will choose another player, in order to draw upon their Elemental Power to fuse with your own. That choice is PMed to Black Rock and Long Con before the lynch is over. Miss the PM and you may be out of luck.

There will be only one winner. Unless that changes.

If anyone needs a recap of their role, or the three Elements they picked before the game started, just let me know and I'll courier you that information on the back of a grizzly bear.

And so you know, there are no "infodropping" rules in play here. If you want to reveal your Element, or if you want to reveal what you know about Elemental interactions, you are free to do it. If that's your strategy.

I have had one of the worst days and weekends, and to have this starting almost made me cry tears of joy. Maybe not joy. Maybe, tears of 'omg there is actually something normal in my life'. Which means that I think you guys are normal. Which means my sense of reality has really gone to shit.

The Alchemist's Secret

A few miles outside outside the bustling city of Syndicate, deep in the thickly-forested foothills of Mount Cerberus, there was a small cabin. Few knew the path that led to the cabin, and that was the way that the alchemist, Mediocrates, wanted it. He had built the cabin at this specific location, not for the tranquility of the woods, and not for the isolation, though that was nice. Mediocrates had chosen this site for the spacious cave system upon whose entrance the cabin sat.

Within the caves, the alchemist had built his laboratory, piece by piece. Glass beakers and tubes of all shapes and sizes were arranged on the many tables, casting strange, flickering shadows on the cave walls in the light of many candles and burners, and the phosphorescent glow of several liquids.

Mediocrates shuffled around the circular table at the centre of his underground laboratory, looking again over the pure elements that he had painstakingly gathered over the last few months. The time had finally come for his experiment to begin. This, he thought, this will be my greatest achievement... my life's work! Finally, they shall respect the name of Mediocrates!

The alchemist began to carefully mix tiny portions of the elements together, leaning close in order to bear true witness to the wonders before him. The sights, the sounds, the peculiar smells... he breathed deeply, and his eyes widened, pupils expanding until they left no trace of his pale green iris at all. His mouth dropped open, gaping in awe and wonder.

He. Could. See. It. All.

Before his eyes, the table seemed to expand, and the elements took on a life of their own. Fickle Fire danced around a cloud of haughty Psionic energy, sinister Darkness slithered and slid across stubborn Metal's smooth surface, as one of the shining samples of Holy he had been able to obtain floated just above the table's surface, serene and pure.

The elements began to speak, to interact, taking on a life more real than Mediocrates' own humble existence. It was all he could do to sit and watch, silently chronicling their tale...

Just a friendly reminder that the site may be back, but I highly doubt changeable polls are still a thing.

I am so excited to play, you guys don't even know!

Edit: Good reminder. I haven't checked if that is a standard feature or not in this version. Our polls are still limited at the moment, I am going to search for a good validated extension for them tomorrow. Hopefully we can rectify it before long. Until then we won't see who voted for what option and when, so you probably should be declaring your votes in thread when you place them.

Changeable votes are up and running but it is not showing who voted where. Until this is rectified no vote will count unless stating in thread when it is made.

Or maybe I don't? A No Lynch option might not have been my first choice had the site not been sucked into hell itself, but I think it might prove to be a useful way to right the ship. And it would allow time for loyalties to form. And you guys know how I love it when loyalties are formed.
