It's not so much your list that is arbitrary. Rather, the adoption of your list by all would would make it arbitrary. Your list as you intend it (a list of people you're inclined to trust based on past experience) is meaningless to me because I'm not inclined to trust anyone at the start of the game. It's not a case of me coming at you. I'm just being picky.

So I don't get the purpose of putting 6 names down. From what I can read in the OP it's just one person you vote for. But my list is as follows:

Dom - because I'm afraid of Dom. Always.
Jack - because I "like" jack as a person

Mac - because I haven't seen Mac in forever it feels like

I think the whole package is arbitrary only if we all agree to run with his list because it was the first batch of names put out there. But we didn't do that. At least some of us.

Evolution Points

Each participant will vote by PM to Simon and Epignosis during Night 0 and each Night after that for the person he or she wants to help evolve. Each vote awards someone with an evolution point.

When someone has three total evolution points, he or she evolves.

When someone has six total evolution points, he or she evolves again.

No one can evolve twice in the same Night. Points above the first evolution won't be applied until the next Night.

You may not vote for yourself.

I hope no one was confused by the incorrect wording. Evolution votes should be coming in during Day 0- meaning the next 45 minutes or so. There is no Night 0. We were doing too much at once and flubbed the wording.

I don't recall always seeing that declared in Epi games but I know that he advised me of such a policy's merits when I first got back in the hosting game. Unless game mechanics make the issue moot, I believe he prefers it that way. Again though, this is Simon's game, so

I'm not fine with putting such a strategy together based solely on one person's preferences. If Jack wants a list, let's all submit five or six names and select the ones that appear the most. If the plan can indeed thumb the scale in our favor, then it's too important to be nonchalant about picking names.

Speedchuck voted for me, and I would be absolutely fine with coordinating myself into an evolution. I am a) a role that can evolve, and b) a Civ role. And c) my character is one that I designed all thee levels of evolution onto a Pokemon playmat for my son.

From experience, whatever night powers mafia gets from evolution will probably pale in comparison to the advantage of knowing what the town power roles are and killing them before they can act. So Id rather keep the votes secret.
