8) Players will get two roles in this game. You will all get your first role at the start of the game. You will only get your second role upon your first death. If you die twice, you are officially actually dead. When your first role dies (regardless of how you die), your role will be revealed, but your affiliation and win conditions will be kept secret. When your second role dies, your role and affiliation will be revealed if you die by lynch or any method other than nightkill. It is possible for players to change win conditions or affiliations, however any mafia player who has BTSC with their team for role one will continue to have the same affiliation and win conditions for role two.
I don't know all the mechanics behind this whole thing, but at face value, this concerns me, because it means that it is possible that by lynching a civilian, you do worse than lynching a civilian: You can increase the mafia strength. Furthermore, any mafia have to be lynched twice in order to be eliminated. Additionally, I would expect this to be an invitation for mafia to kill their own members in order to buy credibility and/or gamble away their weakest roles in hope of something better.

Yes, I would like to discuss mechanics Day 1.
I agree. Mafia should kill their own members.

The opposite is possible too. The mafia the setup says "mafia with BTSC" implies some mafia may not have BTSC, and may convert to civs after death.

Epi and DDL: +1
DH: -1
SVS: -.5

No but useless brownie points aside, Epi put it into much better words than I probably would’ve. We just remove a role from the game, which I know for a fact I’m town. As far as discussing game mechsnics, the CC123 element is obviously here with the double roles. That game of course had “alignment switching” in a sense so it’s not an absurd idea lynching a town player could result in them becoming mafia or an independent. Albeit it may be balanced out in a way that’s not too heinous in the case of town>mafia like a Traitor role. (Mafia aligned, no btsc, can’t make kills.) No denying we have survivor mafia’s tribe system, but I didn’t play that one or read it ever so someone like DH *cough cough* mutiny for three *cough* would probably know more about factors that could happen. But as far as full games go, mass effect didn’t have any bug mechanics as far as I can remember. And phenon has the train system and item voting. Which we haven’t seen yet. Aside yknow, our train crashing in fiji split in half. I don’t expect to see anything about evolving from Pokemon Mafia, unless it’s a specific role from it that can do so.

Anything I’m missing that might be included this year?

-5 for what? You don't like a proposal I made an hour into a 48 hour day?

How do you propose we proceed with this lynch? You want to do a no lynch?

I see you left Chuck off of your analysis, what are your thoughts on Chuck?

Also sprit, you gave DDl a plus 1. He came in scolding people for not wanting to talk suspicions, which is not true, and then went on to discuss, not suspicions, but mechanics.

hmmmm I think I like DDL's perspective but I still see it both ways, like I see the value in learning someone's role if we can but then it sounds like they could change alignment so that could be dangerous. I'm leaning toward DDL's side then and I think even if we get a no-lynch we can still have a productive D1 discussion.

like.... what is the likelihood that there is actually someone who both didn't submit a haiku and is a member of the mafia?

We pronounce the 'h' and say:
"This is a haiku"

nutella, I don't think those elements are statistically interactive.

yeah I mean I didn't mean it really literally/mathematically, since we can't really know who didn't send in a haiku (so far we just know sprityo didn't, but like... his individual probability of being mafia is the same as anyone else's)

I hope my fake brownie points didn’t upset you too much

My opinion isn’t worthless so I wouldn’t fret it. As for The situation you just gave me, sounds weird but I need to look at it myself. In any case DDL was talking about something productive so I don’t see the issue?

As for Speedchuck, me and him go back so I just like to mess around with him, I don’t have an opinion on him yet

Sounds like a plan Stan

In fact it would’ve been more effective if day the hosts told us the invincibility factor after the day was over. That way we still feel the pressure. But eh, can’t change that now

Is this becasue you were the one who would have suffered from it, kind of like the "no u" element, or is it becasue of your "I suck" narrative, that you think suggesting this plan makes one a baddie? Can you explain why this suggestion makes one bad?

Did you form an opinion on Chuck yet, or read back on DDL as you had suggested you might?

I don't think it is a half truth. I see cogs as well, but perhaps different ones than you see. Also Chucks strong reaction to the RR plan got my eye, he seems to be saying he is a laid back guy, but he seemed pretty far from that when he reacted to the suggestion.

Who would you recommend I look at instead? I am not married to this vote.

nut'la's recent post
what if it is their teammate
that didn't haiku?
nutella wrote: Sat Feb 24, 2018 2:10 pm hmmmm I think I like DDL's perspective but I still see it both ways, like I see the value in learning someone's role if we can but then it sounds like they could change alignment so that could be dangerous. I'm leaning toward DDL's side then and I think even if we get a no-lynch we can still have a productive D1 discussion.

like.... what is the likelihood that there is actually someone who both didn't submit a haiku and is a member of the mafia?

I kind of see what SVS is saying about speed, he reacted strongly against the round robin at first because it sounded like he didn't realize/missed that people who sent haikus have immunity, and then when SVS explained it he said this-

I am not sure I agree, but the fact that you state it so clearly makes me feel way lots better about you, tbh. After Quins post, I went back and reread you, and was a bit conflicted.

My problem with Sprit (and maybe those of you with more experience than I with him can fill me in) his first direct response to me was a reminder of how freaking awesome his instincts can be, in the game in question, he subbed in one day, and made a right call at great cost to him.

thats dumb. who made that up?
It was SVS
But if it makes you feel good
You can vote for me

tsk tsk, SVS after all i did for you last year

immediately dying after replacing in because i bodyguard protected you :disappoint:
And ever since then he keeps talking about how he sucks as a player, his opinion is worthless, etc. I am just getting the heebies from him and the jeebies. Maybe even the jm jams. So not sure how the totality of his posts gives you a blanket "civ", BUT don't see you saying that about a bad teammate so directly.

And you know, now that I look at this, he KNEW it wasn't DH who had the RR idea, but he voted for him anyhow for that reason. Why?

What does this mean? Jim Jams are generally negative, it's like the willies (maybe different where you come from?), but "Hello town" indicates otherwise. After the first two lines, I would expect "hello big baddie".

I think we got a fairly good insight into each other in Survivor; that was probably one of the more stressful and intense mafia experiences I have ever had. The fact that you are so regularly disagreeing with me, but not explaining it in a way I can understand is making it hard for me to see your points, and I would like to see them.
