Listing those five with more clarity this time:

-MafiaMenace & Spacedaisy haven’t had time in 72 hours to participate much. I get real life and all, but in a game this small, we can’t afford the no-show routine for very long at all. Neutral -1 for now.

-WaywardSon has 8 posts of fluff that don’t even attempt to engage the actual game element. Uncomfortable.

-JJJ warned us that he wouldn’t be around much but, even taking that into consideration, his content is meh. One cage-rattling line against sprityo and a weak, ivory-toweresque assessment of Eloh followed by a vote. The post and vote on Eloh looks contrived to me. As if he manufactured a Jay-esque enough of a reason to cast a vote far ahead enough of the deadline. Artificial vanilla?

-Nutella for reasons already stated. She went hard for low-hanging fruit in both me and now Eloh.

Indirect defense via shade at Jay. Not a great look. More of the same here.

When G-man poked us all with questions, all he had to say to sprit was "You made bro?" Again, this doesn't need to exist.

Epi was first to change to sprit. Good look. Jay followed, then nova. But nova also tried to push G-man at the last minute instead, though he obviously changed back.

G-man pushed everyone but sprit. reywaS slipped a vote on me and bounced. MafiaMenace was on nutella, but his tone seemed desperate (heh) most of the end-phase and he seems sincere. sprit was on nutella so that pretty much clears her in my mind.

I think he seemed to be playing his own game. I think his explanation for his behavior confirms this. I don't get it.

I know, I’m asking this to try to help stimulate some reads for you. I’ve found it to be a useful exercise in the past. Don’t worry about being right or wrong, just say things and see how you feel about them later.

I think it's a recurring feeling I've been having with G-Man this phase, and catching up. It started when I noticed him withholding his vote which contrasted with his play of producing isos and inviting discussions. It felt like he was holding on to it to see waiting for the game to unfold and wagons/suspicions grow bigger, rather than as a tool to prod and push the lynches he believes in.

Then towards EoD (even the second half of the phase), his game solving completely crumbled. He's present but there is nothing coming from him. Silent votes, cryptic posts. I didn't see any merits to his GTH exercise, and I still don't. It was specifically tailored to reywaS which defeat its purpose especially at a point where the game was stalled. It served more as an excuse for him to coast than anything else. I didn't get any sense of urgency from his EoD, which makes me believe that he didn't care who got lynched.

FTR I do think Nova is town now (unless he decided to hard bus sprityo, which could happen but he has been looking good in general), and his thoughts on G-Man coming out of this phase are compelling. The GTH exercise was very weirdly timed and G took on a bizarre no-fucks-given attitude but I'm not sure what that says about him.

Oh yeah, Sloonei had a thing against sprityo in the very beginning. I could make a case for it being a distancing ploy that was easy enough to back off of when the topic didn't catch on, but maybe my judgment is clouded by all the things that jumped out to me from sloonei's posts today. I looked over the sprityo interactions. I don't feel like posting everything, but here's a road map:

Good looks: Sloonei, nutella, novaselinenever

Meh: Epignosis, MafiaMenace, reywaS, Spacedaisy

Icky: G-Man

I don't think any of the other three votes for sprityo were incompatible with bussing, so if I drop dead I hope y'all will be vigilant in assessing that crew beyond just a single vote.

With 12 players originally I would expect 3 mafia members. 9 vs. 3 isn't ideal for balance, but it's better than 10 vs. 2 in what I presume is a non-mountainous game. An independent is also a plausible balancing mechanism, but that could be anything and no clear evidence yet exists.

I care about theb “Epi doesn’t bus” argument a little. Plus the way you started floating G-man is not a great look. I do not think you’re bad, i’m just saying that if I had to pick one name out of that group, you’d be my first choice.

And I’m just trying to make sure we don’t forget Daisy is here. I feel like I have a good number of town reads at this point, which reduces our pool of suspects. Daisy is a complete no-show to this point, and that’s something we’ll have to deal with eventually.
