And what is a hallmark of your baddie style, then? Because last I checked you also do all those things when you are bad. Mac is right, you are not that obvious to read.

I'm not soft pushing, I'm putting all possibilities on the table. The way you are acting is perfectly reasonable for a baddie to act.

You say you are always on the fence, which is true, but then you use that as a shield to act the same way as bad and win games because no one wants to lynch "on the fence" nutella anymore.

I feel like people always say this about me but I feel like I acted pretty dang differently when I was bad in Vanilla. But then again Sloonei was so sure I was civ he was willing to die for me so

Anyway I'm pretty sure that I've only invoked my meta as a defense when civ, so take from that what you will. When I'm bad I tend to sit back and let people like Sloonei confidently misread me as my town self. Because that feels really great since it's their idea. Idk, compare to my other town games and see how you feel. I get why you think Mac's case was solid. It's just wrong. I don't look great because I'm not trying to look great.

Many people declare their votes with either the vote tag or by mentioning that they are voting in the thread. There are enough votes, however, that did not come with some kind of clear, in-thread declaration, that I can't take my vote analysis and spreadsheeting up to the next level like I used to. I'm trying to piece Day 1's votes back together but I just can't get them all put in order. I'm just going to use tone reads and infer intent from voting history as it's collected. With four confirmed civvies down, it should clear up a few things but I'm far from a confident baddie read on anyone just yet.

I started getting the heebeejeebees from her on day one when she said i was misinterpreting what she said but didnt even try to clarify what she was saying. I would have thought she would have gone ahead and tried to clear it up on the spot. Instead she just ignored me. I feel bad for voting for my long time friend/mafia nemesis SVS and not switching to nutella. And now its just post after post of "this is my civvie meta". OMG that is the worst defense possible....seriously.

i want you to be whatever you want to be. I don't want you to be any certain way. I vote on how I perceive you. Currently you feel a lot like you did in vanilla game. I never understand why people invoke "this is my civvie style" as a defense. I understand even less why anyone would by into that as a defense.

Mac's stuff on nutella was pretty convincing, then he died, which is also pretty convincing that nutella might be bad. BUT 1. Her defenses look really genuine, and 2. she actually suspected me day 1 and voted me for a bit. I see no reason for scum nutella to do that.

Ebwop, and that "render normal gameplay moot" isn't facetious or snarky; there are people I have played with in the past that I had rapport with such that it effected our reads of, and interactions with, each other. We felt the need to sort each other ASAP, and having played several games in a row with you and nutella I got the vibe that you want to sort each other right away.

I just read over the Macdougall case on Nutella. It's a pretty good run-down. Not perfect, but pretty good. I have half a mind to take Mac's suspicions and coast on them all game, like I did in GoC. Nightkill analysis, baby.

Problem is, this analysis came in on D3, and I had nutella as a semi-strong townread. Let's talk about some of the suspicions.

I don't really have a beef with this post. It's not so much "Enrique was obviously town, boo to the voters, they all scum, I'm so town dontcha kno" and more genuine to me BECAUSE it isn't lamenting his role or alignment as much as the fact that he was around and interesting.
And she's not even wrong about the laziness. We on page 11, and this is D3. That's insane.

Nutella also doesn't have a reason to put herself out there and agitate the thread/voters with this if she's scum. In a more active game, this kind of talk could shame people and put nutella on a town pedestal. In this game, it just makes her stand out. I posit that, with the flow of the game as is, spurring on this discussion and kicking that hornets' nest is much less scummish than just taking the lynches as they come.

A bit relieved that Enrique flipped town. That makes me look good.

At first glance, these are the only counterarguments I have toward the town nutella that I'm seeing. It comes down to motive, like Mac's post does. He alleged that Nutella is trying to put herself in a good position using TMI. I think it was a mix of nutella being aggressive and waffley. While waffles are not really a town play, regardless of the person, aggression is just not called for at all in this game.

I didn't address all of Mac's points, though. And Nutella believing the truth meta thing is ew, regardless of alignment.

Maybe that is unfair to everyone else, I don't mean to exclude people, it's just a specific sense that I have of him and I felt with certainty that he was town. It's not any more "ew" than if you defended Luna more than anyone else for example. It just so happened that it was in the context of a "truth meta" claim, which held water for me due to my understanding of enri's personality.

Of course not. It's the perspective I gained from being scum with him recently that is drawing my attention to some of his behavior here. Maybe there is some element of recency bias, I should admit, but it is based in actual content. Like look at how he deflected the "reading the rules" accusation back onto speed.

Nobody makes me feel good, but a few of you make me feel weird. Nutella is the closest thing I have to a civvie read right now. I think she was suffering from recency bias against Epi. Yeah this is just a verbal misunderstanding. You interpreted it basically the opposite of how I did. Idk if I'm gonna explain this well or maybe I'll sound stupid here but I was arguing that it's not just recency bias since I just saw him as bad but instead it's a more substantial interpretation of his posts that I thought looked bad, though I admitted there was some relation to similarity with that game. I guess you're probably right that I was still biased in my interpretation of his content. Anyway he was civ after all so
