Re: The Wire Mafia
I'm realizing that it's actually been a while since I played an extended stretch of a game with Jack as either alignment. He died Night 1 in Australian Murder Mystery, and before that I'd been on a break for a while. I've hosted a couple games that he's played in the interim, but that's not the same.
I bring it up here because I don't really know what to make of his meta. When I was last playing regularly, the book on Jack was that he farted around early in games as town, but was more serious as scum. He was well aware of this perception and has no doubt changed the narrative since then. So when I see a Jack who is sort of straddling the line between those two position here, I... don't know what to do with him.
I'd feel more confident in a Long Con lynch. I would not object to Creature or boo either.

Re: The Wire Mafia
Ok.
DDL: town af
Boo: he plays like 2015 town DDL. Called it last time and will try to call it again.
Sloonei: he gets the Jaysloonei town feel. He's game solving and taking this very seriously. I believe my instincts.
Nanook: I had a very clear understanding of the way he thinks from our discussion and I think it comes from a civ PoV, even if I don't agree with it.
Speed: doesn't give me super town vibes but the Rej thing looked great for him
Creature: dunno. He's fast and loose. Could be civ. Could be bad. I kind of want to give him more time.
dunya: sometimes she gives me the hardcore town leader vibe, but then she's pretty casual and sometimes she feels aloof and not living in the same world as the rest of us. Dunno what to make of this.
Colin: I... don't know.
TH: How do I even read him? His case on me is kind of dumb. Meh.
Sig: see speed above, except his posting style gives me bad vibes not neutral vibes. But yeah the Rej thing makes this unlikely.
Jack: same as sig, except this just got shut down by memories of scum Jack being hardcore. Dunno how to read him now.
LC: he's being a blur since D2. That's bad. But he looked great in that one Dom post.
My rainbow has only 3 colors because I'm lost.

You’d be throwing away your vote.Sloonei wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2019 7:00 pmI'm always going to be considering as many possibilities as I can. I did not have a firm read on you one way or the other, but I settled on a town lean. That's not conclusive or definitive, and the reasons for that are in the thread. Would you like me vote for you?Jackofhearts2005 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2019 6:56 pmI did read it and I was perplexed by the color.Sloonei wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2019 6:25 pmSee if you'd actually read the post you'd notice that I came out of it feeling good about you.Jackofhearts2005 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2019 6:20 pmYeah. Like idk why you said the things that were bad for me and Boo were bad for me and Boo.Sloonei wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2019 6:19 pmJackofhearts2005 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2019 6:18 pm Sloonei posts a big thingie and aside from DDL, “good look for X” and “not a great look for Y” appear to be slapped on to interactions at random.
Not a good look for Sloonei.![]()
Did you even read the post?
I felt bad about boo because rej made no comment on him at all until slapping a random unexplained vote on him mid-day 2, then quickly moved it off of him. It looked like an empty attempt to distance himself from a teammate. I had similar misgivings about his vote for you, which I expressed, but ultimately came off of because his vote remained on you. I guess it's possible to read those votes the other way around: you were the distanced partner, and boo was the random civilian being shaded. But if I am being asked to choose to pick one over the other, I'd say the boo vote looks worse. Or maybe you're both town. I find it unlikely that he'd vote for two partners at once.
See, that all sounds like wifom mumbo jumbo. There are parts I can get behind but the only lead me to conclusions I already knew were true like “both Boo and Jack are not wolves.”

Was it MU's double take?dunya wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2019 7:09 pmmy most recent game before this one was your double jester and creature was for sure in it.Dragon D. Luffy wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2019 7:05 pm Ok so @dunya I just checked all the games Creature played this year and you weren't in them.
I did host one game with him (GIrl Genius) but you didn't play it.
And I did host one game that you played (Double Jesater) at NF but Creature didn't. He doesn't have a NF account afaik.
I think your head imagined having played with Creature.![]()
@Creature, where did we meet?

I can't remember a double jester game

Re: The Wire Mafia
I heavily evaluate players based on my experience with them and it's pretty hard to deal with players I never played with, I just don't make stupid generalizations like "hurr durr X doesn't ever do this as scum".Dragon D. Re: The Wire Mafia
I always suspect when there's a strong case on someone. Scum usually can avoid getting strongly scumread while town is more prone to due to doing stupid things.
