dunya is the name I'd be most comfortable crossing out. Her efforts to sort out Jack and speed today were rife with civilian turmoil. A three person POE of Russ, Turnip Head, and speed is workable. TH and speed are my top two suspects in the immediate aftermath of Jack's flip regardless of POE, but I'm unwilling to jump to that conclusion without doing homework.

If anyone has an argument for dunya to be bad, please share it.

Honestly, at this point I just think you should stop asking people to claim altogether. Most importantly at night. I get claiming during the day if there's a potential pivotal vote coming, but doing it at night just paints targets on people's backs and help mafia figure out power roles. I don't see any world where pushing so hard for this helps us.

I guess the big question for me tomorrow is, do we go for the obvious lynch (Speed) again. It hasn't worked for us so far this game, but someone has to be bad, and I still can't get over the soft sig defense being more or less his only contribution. G-Man would be my other top contender - his claim had stopped me going after him, but Sloonei is right that it could be fake.

For others, I still wish someone would engage me on dunya, and DDL's insistence on claiming has me feeling bad about him.

What I have been tried to do is to get them to provide more details that would help me figure out if their claims are true or not.

If the mafia wants to kill them, they don't need my help. The part where they revealed their abilities already did that job.

I don't want any town player claiming their powerful ability without necessity. But if they do, I want to figure out the game with the pieces I am given.

Is Sloonei truly cleared? His claim followed on the tails of MP's claim. Sloonei claims to have targeted the exact same two people in the exact same order as MP. There's no way to verify this claim because Sloonei claims to be able to benefit from his power. According to his claim, his intended targets couldn't be reached. No one has received a benefit, so no one can technically confirm Sloonei's claim.

Based on everything you've seen out of Sloonei in this game aside from his claim, are you willing to proceed with the game clearing him as a lock-civ?

It's a difference of a POE of five or a POE of four.

The context may not be entirely clear there.

My role allows me to target a player and provide them with some sort of bonus. I'm keeping it intentionally vague out of an abundance of caution. No need to tell anyone what my role may or may not be capable of. I have every reason to expect that the player would be made aware of the effects of my role. I targeted Russ on Night 1 and dunya on Night 2, as I've said. But as is now confirmed, MP's role prevented me from successfully targeting either one of them:

During each night phase, you may select a player. That player will be unable to perform any night actions and will also be immune to targeting from all night actions.

In this post, from Day 2, I was attempting to drop a hint to Russtifinko about the bonus he should have received from me targeting him when he was beginning to voice suspicion of me. I hope the hint is pretty obvious now that I'm pointing it out.

And if you want to take it a step further and say that I could be Russ's partner and known that MP hit him with that role, I would have then also needed to have known the exact mechanics of MP's role, and I would also need to be dropping an inane clue ~72 hours in advance in anticipation that MP might claim someday and I might be able to use that claim to my ever so slight advantage. But then, I didn't even use the claim to my advantage. I used it to clear MP at a time when he was at least partially at risk of being lynched, although that threat had mostly died down by the time I was able to confirm him for myself. But that's dunya's fault for being in the wrong timezone.

But above all that: I caught nutella.

Yeah, I guess so. My gut reaction was that the avergae civ is more worried about an NK, but with a small-ish suspect pool this makes sense.

I think G-Man doubting Sloon's case here is yet another bad look from him. Also, it looks like a potential NO U since Sloon recently pointed out that G-Man's claim could be fake.

Perhaps, but you didn't get to see it through to the end. DDL killed her, so it's unclear if you would have pursued a nutella lynch Day 3 or if you'd have stuck to your long-running suspicion of me. You had us both in your lowest tier on Night 2. I was surprised at how quickly you dropped your sus on me, but perhaps that's the difference between how Nanook framed his claim and I mine.

I will concede that, in a small game with two straight mislynches, it doesn't make any sense at all for two baddies to stage the back and forth that you and nutella had. Your needling and nutella's soft read on me was enough to convince DDL to whack her. Granted, how would you know there is a civvie vig?

This is why I suck as a civvie most of the time. Unless I have info, I suffer from tinfoil paralysis.

If everyone else is willing to civ read you based on the nutella interaction, I will to. Just know that, if you are mafia, I will always refer to this game as a bright, shining reason to never give you town cred again without intel to support it.

did you read the thread? everyone i iso'd individually made me feel worse about TH tbh, starting with sloonei's iso of nutella. i have no doubt in my mind they are bad now. and i'm pretty sold on you being their teammate. if jack had flipped bad, TH coulda been good.



the only thing that gives me slight pause is the post count thing. nutella was very clear on how posts were counted and russti spent a good chunk either pretending not to know or actually not knowing. i have to go back to that and see how i feel. could have been more distancing.

Sorry folks, I failed to get the vote order worked out. I'm sorry. That might help, but it's hard to say. We've mislynched three times, and Nutella was never votes for, so we have little leverage in analyzing teammate vote behavior. The baddies have gotten off far too easy.

I wouldn't say that's true, yesterday I tried to get MP lynched and he pooped out little post pebbles until his butt was sore, and then he ran out of posts and roleclaimed.

I didn't really want to lynch either of speed or Jack, but I preferred a Jack lynch to a speed lynch, and I was at work for the last 7 hours of the lynch so I spoke my peace when I could.

The way you're attacking me here though dunya makes me uneasy. You seemed like you had your head on straight the first few phases and you've really sort of lost your cool and you seem very... insulated. Like you're not talking TO anyone anymore, you're talking AT us, if that makes sense. I'm not sure what's changed but it definitely makes me trust you less.

Idk if you're bad or not, but I am most certainly GOOD, so I need you to work with me if we have any hope of winning this for town.

Again let's consider that I'm GOOD, and you should surely view yourself as town as well. Where do we go from here? Who do we interrogate? If you're not bad, then it has to be Russti and speed right? DDL is cleared and Sloonei is all but cleared, though I will have to look back and remember exactly why he's cleared.

The small amount of players left makes me think you ARE bad dunya, but I don't want that to be true. However I still plan on doing my due diligence and see how you interacted with nutella as well as how you may have interacted with any other potential baddies that are left who are obviously not me. I plan on doing this for everyone else left alive too, so I'm not singling you out. We all deserve intense scrutiny, but we need to keep our heads on straight so we make the right call.
