It's considerably easy for me to forget this place exists at times, especially when I have things actually going on in my life. Did a d1 more thorough read, and will be doing reads of d2 and this day phase before day end. Thankfully majority of posts were on d1.

Juliets seems towny by my meta of her. She doesn't use contractions and writes pretty bluntly sometimes, so she always looks kinda sketch, but I'd lean town on her right now owing to the complicatedness of her Sloonei read- I think she's being genuine when she says she doesn't know how to read him well and is concerned with being fooled again. She says she's reading him more as town now, but it's an early back-and-forth type read and those tend to come from townies more often than wolves; wolves are more inclined to stick with an early read throughout a greater duration of the round and don't flip-flop so soon. I think she's showing true uncertainty.

Regarding Sloonei, I can see him as a wolf personally. His questions don't seem to go anywhere and he's forcing the humour a bit.

It seems someone not using contractions is a scum ping for you, but you failed to point out the specific Sloonei post responding "I do not know." when pressed about who was scum. Your take on Sloonei here is just one line at the bottom, after a whole paragraph spent on a townread, to just say that you could see him as a wolf. Not that you specifically read him as one, so it seems like you're only giving a thumbs up to others push there, while distancing yourself from it. Is he your packmate?

112 throughout d1 was rather measured, but didn't strongly push anything except Dizzy for 3p stuff, and then Wilgy for a reaction to Dizzy stuff, neither of which look good.

Solid opening reads list from Wilgy, with 112 being the only difference up to this post.

I mindmelded with Wilgy quite a bit even outside this post, and liked where they pushed. Their wagon d1 was extremely suspect with Sloonei pushing back on their suspicion but not Epi's(Wilgy an easier target), and MP7's flopping on the slot. I don't see any good reasoning why they were a wagon that day.

Openly outed as 3p, and seemed genuinely bummed about it. Outside of the gambit of them being actually just scum claiming indie here which feels unlikely, worry would be that they're truly anti-town, but truly anti-town indies make themselves apparent eventually through actions.

This along with other late LC posts d1 pinged me for shading MP while not trying to lead a wagon there. Eventually put a vote on MP7 after being pressed about that, not inspiring. Almost certainly not w/w with MP7 though which is a good get out of this. Good feels that he ended on Sloonei/townread Wilgy.

I absolutely hate that 4-person wagon on Sloonei. It's static. It's not pushing the game forward in any way. If there's one reason to ever lynch Mac here, that'd be one. I understand Epi's vote being there, but I'd encourage those voters to at least more actively consider other options.

If Sloonei is scum and I'm actively now arguing to avoid his lynch d1, then lol, but if he is scum I'm confident we can catch him with strong town play.

I don't remember town!you being this peeved about "static wagons" as you say in the practice game we played together. Rather there was tunneling on a group of players, and that was a rather consistent group that you helped push. You specifically led tunnel wagons onto Drago and cayvie there. If Sloonei wagon is right, why does it matter if it's static? What pushes the game truly forward for town are scum flips. There were other people being talked about, it's not like the game came to the consensus that Sloonei was the lynch and no one else should be looked at.

In the practice game you felt like a lead dog, peeing all over. Here you're following the scent of others pee anywhere but to Sloonei. Probably the best thing going for you is the derp with Dexi 3p.

Mac's d1 was just him asking where to sheep, almost nothing to go off of here except Sloonei vote and maybe the MP7 connection potentially. The park on Sloonei after asking for a sheep and getting one with MP7 is a bit eyebrow raising if Sloonei is town, IIRC they talked about being anti-Sloonei d1 lynch in a prior game.

I had it in my head that a dive right in opening was sort of scummy for 112, but then I reread their opening 15ish posts in coronavirus mafia (their most recent on site town game AFAIK) and they dove right in there too, so it made the initial read meaningless.

Thank Scirrus for pressing you on this. It does feel funny that you'd go meta searching this early in a game, before you actually press them about your initial suspicion, to at least get some discussion going and get a feel for them in this game. Don't get the feel you're w/w though, and hard to see wolfy motivation on your end here. If you were trying to buddy a town!112 then I'd think you'd bring up the meta stuff earlier.

Epi does things early in games for his own reasons a lot. I felt like he was willfully ignoring the context of that one post he was focused on, but I don’t necessarily view that as a bad thing coming from Epi.

Why is it ever not a bad thing if one is willingly ignoring context to hard push a scumread? Sometimes people go harder than they would at a post to get reactions, but that is clearly not what Epi was doing given all his posts up to this point. It was a real read, that Sloonei thinks Epi was intentionally misrepresenting but he's too scared to call Epi scum for it.

Sloonei's d1 was almost entirely forced humor and weak resistance to his lynch, outside of when he saw a viable target to lynch in his stead in Wilgy.

I liked nova's start giving some naked reads to get things going, and they had some good pushback onto 112. TSP has been kind of random d1 as they said they'd be early, the juliets push was very meh, and don't like their ending on Wilgy. They brushed off the Sloonei wagon in their second post in a way that I could see town doing, given it could seem to be an overreaction if just skimming stuff. Overall like the nova part more than the TSP part of this slot.

My response(s) to Epi were specifically and exactly responses to Epi. We’ve been playing mafia together consistently for several years and he has one of the most distinct playstyles I’ve come across. I treat him accordingly. That means I generally don’t assess his early reads on the basis of how much I believe he believes in them. Instead I try to see what his angle is in pushing those reads. I believed that he was exaggerating his stance on me Day 1 to help advance his overall view of the game.

You’re also completely mischaracterizing my Day 1. I made a couple of jokes early on, then played the game for a while, then needed to take action to avoid being killed on Day 1. I didn’t perk up at the sight of a viable alternative. That is bullshit.

Soneji places Wilgy in Scirrus in his top tier of town reads. I appreciate the work he put into showing his reads, for the most part. But scirrus, a popular suspect and new player, got only these three sentences as a summary. This read feels like it's just slapped in there for the sake of existing, relative to all the others.
