Re: Escape From Russia [Night 3]
I don't think we should sleep two days straight, if we do that, the scum would be uh killing someone tonight, so 8 there, we sleep all day tomorrow, the scum kills another one 7, Hally dies (if not scum) 6, another one dies by LC virus 5, so on day 5 ? we have lylo or mylo (?) ughhh idk help me out with this thing

Re: Escape From Russia [Night 3]
I haven't done the exact math on sleeping vs. not sleeping but at the very least voting out Hally tomorrow seems strictly better than sleep because if they're a villager we're not killing anyone who wouldn't have died anyway and it slightly hedges against the possibility of a scum doc
also it gets us their flip slightly earlier

(personally, as someone who just lost a closed set-up because everyone slept in what they thought was MyLo but wasn't, I kind of think that we shouldn't be sleeping, but I haven't personally run any numbers)

Re: Escape From Russia [Night 3]
I don’t see the logic behind voting someone who dies anyway
The point is we don’t know who gets poisoned other than Hally and if they’re town it can mess us up and if we yeet another town then I think we just lose.

I mean voting someone who dies anyway is never going to be worse than not voting anyone, I think
maybe there's something I'm missing

I don't think that's a good idea tbh. if hally is scum, she dies anyway, we can try to lynch her partner instead of wasting a day?Arete wrote: ↑Fri Oct 16, 2020 1:41 am I haven't done the exact math on sleeping vs. not sleeping but at the very least voting out Hally tomorrow seems strictly better than sleep because if they're a villager we're not killing anyone who wouldn't have died anyway and it slightly hedges against the possibility of a scum doc

Nvm we don’t sleep twice in a row because we just lose anyway if the 2 infected are town.
Guess we just keep on yeeting.

I just think yeeting Hally is definitely not worse than sleep, and might be better in some circumstances
Re: Escape From Russia [Night 3]
I think in the specific scenario where Hally is infected twice lynching tomorrow gives us an extra lynch. Whereas if anyone else is infected, it’s the same number of lynches left.

At most you can argue that he wanted to make Arete look bad after his flip
But thinking he actually slipped like that is...idk.
That thing was definitely planned, I just don’t know whether it was a frame or anti-spew on Arete.

Re: Escape From Russia [Night 3]
Wagons.
Day 1:
112, Dunya/Epi, Michelle offwagon
Me, Vulgard, Ted, Poison, LC on Tony
Tutuu, Wilgy, Hally, Nook, Arete, and Tony on Trip
Day 2:
Michelle and Vulgard offwagon
112, Epi, Arete, Hally, Wilgy on LC
Me, LC, Ted, Nook, Tony, and Poison on Michelle.
Day 3:
112 offwagon
Me, Ted, Wilgy, and LC on Hally
LC, Arete, Poison, Hally, and Epi on LC.
So.
Day one was w/v. LC was the most suspicious person on the Tony wagon and he’s flipped green. Highly likely we’re looking at a clean Tony wagon. Two on Trip and one offwagon feels most realistic.
I still think my reasons for clearing Nook and Arete are good. If I rule those 2 out, the 2/1 story looks even more likely. It’s 112 or Epi in the offwagon slot, Tony is obviously one of the two on Trip, and then there’s one wolf in Hally/Wilgy.
Day two we have v/v wagons and the two offwagon slots have both flipped green. Very likely a 2/1 split. Tony is on Michelle, and I don’t see a wolf in Nook/Ted/Poison, so two on LC. Yeah, that makes sense looking at the names.
Finally we have d3. Don’t know how Hally flips yet, but if v, you would expect the two wolves to have one on either wagon (112 offwagon makes it A bit tricky though). The only name on Hally’s wagon that even looks a little sus is Wilgy. And Epi is really the only plausible name on LC other than Hally.
So in short, I think there’s exactly one wolf in Epi/112 and exactly one in Hally/Wilgy. The most important thing I got from this is that after 3 days of wagons there’s nothing making me think there has to be a deepwolf in the poison/ted/nook/arete group.

Sorry, mistake on my part. I said LC was on LC when he obviously wasn’t, that was Nook.

Re: Escape From Russia [Night 3]
You're clearing two people that have voted on the D1 counterwagon to a flipped scum.
The same two people voted on LC over Hally, who's scum fypov.
If it's not Nanook and Arete, the people that have the least amount of townie things for them, then who's the team? Hally / 112?
You think Arete is cleared for Tony's thing but not Dunya / Epi?

Re: Escape From Russia [Night 3]
I’m getting a bad feeling Hally might just be town, for reasons I don’t want to expound on because of game integrity.
If that’s the case, I think maybe 112/Wilgy makes the most sense.

Re: Escape From Russia [Night 3]
I hard clear Nook because if he is a wolf he looked at me getting heat d1 while I was correctly tunneling him and his partner, and decided to come in swinging hard to defend me.
Like, wolves can white knight town. But in that specific situation I think wolf Nook leaves me to fend for myself every time.
I’ve already explained why I clear Arete, I don’t know how productive it is to go over again.

Re: Escape From Russia [Night 3]
It's such a nice day out today. I want to go camping by the beach, fishin the morning, and then drinking and grilling tomorrow evening.
But instead I'm in my apartment longing.
Normally I go to renfest this time of year, and the weather has been so swell.
Shame It's a bad idea. Too many people and humans aren't to be trusted in large social gatherings yet.
I miss my costume and the smell of grilled meat in the air. The sounds of the festival and the music.
But I suppose there's always next year.

Ted seems really upset about Vul's read making people unwilling to vote me out but I don't know if that's because he's scum annoyed that he can't get the lowposter misexe'd just because one person said not to or because he's town who's legitimately afraid of what he incorrectly perceives as me "getting away"

Re: Escape From Russia [Night 3]
just going to ... go through each of my clears, I guess, and talk about why I'm clearing them/whether I think those reasons are still Good And Valid
posting this one at a time in case wolves randomly decide to kill me, for some reason? but this way I'll at least be able to get some thoughts out before EoN
Ash
why I am clearing Ash: Ash was one of the most driving forces behind the TSP wagon and was basically hardpushing him from the start of the game, TSP also seemed legitimately bothered by his push on him in a way that scum aren't usually bothered by their teammates' pushes on him and spent a fair amount of time trying to discredit it. Without Ash TSP ?probably? wouldn't have even been a major wagon on D1.
do I think this is still valid: yes, I do. while obviously bussing is a known phenomenon that exists, I doubt that Ash (who as I understand it is relatively less experienced)? would immediately hard-bus a more experienced partner. additionally, TSP's spew is a good look for him -- TSP spends the most time trying to discredit TSP's scumread on him out of any of the people that had been pushing him.

5:02 a.m. EEST
They crossed the border as the sun was rising. Weary but focused, the snuck into the small farming community of Veterynarne. There weren't many vehicles to choose from, but they also didn't need many in order to make the journey to Kiev.
"Alright, there's eleven of us," Chelsea said, so we need to find three decent sized cars to spread us around."
"Why not a truck?" Sidney asked.
"I think truck will be more conspicuous. Plus it will probably require more fill-ups along the way."
"Good thinking," Sidney said. "But I think we'll have to steal at least one other set of cars along the way unless we find a kind soul to fill up the tanks for us."
"Over here," Chelsea pointed. "There are a few cars by this building." She looked back at the rest of the travelers, but something was wrong.
"Sidney," she said. "Where's Polina?"
"Well damn," he said. "I haven't done a head count since you snuffed out Oleg. Is she lagging behind in the fields?"
The strained their eyes to the horizon for any sign of Polina making her way toward them. The rising sun was unforgiving in its assault.
"We don't have time," Chelsea said. "We need to go."
"Right," Sidney agreed. "At least now we can all squeeze into two cars."
In their hearts, they hoped that Polina was just tired, trailing behind them, and would somehow find a way to freedom on her own. In their minds, she was dead somewhere back along their route.
Their minds were right.
The hotwired two cars and set off on yet another leg of their journey. They had escaped from Russia, but they weren't out of trouble yet.
