As you throw the mail down on the dining room table, one return address logo catches your eye. There's no mistaking the Lenker Brothers Construction logo- big, bold, and obnoxious (just like the Lenker brothers themselves). Wondering what those jackass con men wanted this time, you open it.
Swear to God, if it's another dues increase, you think.
But no. It's more surprising than that. On a single piece of paper adorned with that same obnoxious logo, you read the following...
Dear homeowner(s),
This letter serves as notice of an emergency meeting of the Piano Estates Homeowners Association. The purpose of this meeting is to execute the immediate and final transition of HOA duties from Lenker Brothers Construction to the resident homeowners of Piano Estates.
If the residents of Piano Estates are unable to elect a board of directors and assign officers at the conclusion of this meeting, Lenker Brothers Construction will have a property management company in attendance at said meeting to take responsibility for executing and upholding all HOA covenants, use restrictions, and adjustment of dues assessments if necessary.
We ask that any and all homeowners attend the meeting as possible.
Thank you,
Lenker Brothers Construction
Builders of luxurious and exquisite homes!
I've got a bad feeling about this, you think.
