[WALRUS] Clemkay's Octoberus
My wife kay and I are running a walrus together. Deadline for first sub is September 24, and we're capping it at 15 subs. Reveals will be each Friday at 5pm edt starting October first and ending October 29. Scale for scoring is:
0-7 limes for cat fit
0-7 kites for my score
0-7 platypi for Kay's score
For a total of 0-21 on the banana scale.
No banned artists, sub what you want. Songs that we BOTH haven't heard will receive no scoring bonus but they will get a kudos. Our tastes run pretty wide--neither of us are fans of Christian rock or hard-core edm in general, we both like a lot of 2010s pop and 90s alt rock/grunge. And everything in between. Abstract category interpretations are encouraged--as long as we can discern the vibe, we're not too concerned with literalness.
Cats:
Round 1: kids
Songs by kids. Or for kids. Or about kids. Or that make you think of kids. Or otherwise have some connection or relationship to kids. Deadline for submission: September 24.
Round 2: boiling over
Songs that make your blood boil. Whatever that means to you, anger, passion, fiery rage, the burning inferno building inside you that must be released. Or blood tea. Idk, you figure it out. Deadline for submission: October 1
Round 3: wilderness
Songs that evoke the wilderness--not so much a cozy cottage feeling as an alone in the wilderness vibe, whether you find solace in that or a sense of danger (or both! Or something else entirely!) is up to you. Deadline for submission: October 8
Round 4: sweater weather
Its fall, that means its sweater weather. Whatever that means to you, if its the bite in the air, the sharp wind in your face, the crunch of leaves under your feet, the smell of a fresh baked pumpkin pie, whatever else that evokes that first crisp fall day for you. Submission deadline: October 15
Round 5: Halloween
Its almost Halloween! Send your favorite Halloween jam, whatever gets you in the holiday spirit for the night. Obviously not limited to explicitly Halloween songs and don't send us the monster mash. Submission deadline: October 22.
Spotify or YouTube links preferred. Sub via pm to me on syndicate or discord.

I joined made's and that was my first one! I am just discovering these and I like the concept. it's fun trying to figure out a good song for each category.
