One of my most stressful and proud moments in mafia was being stuck in BTSC with Llama in Death Note. I was Light and he was L. Because of a game mechanic I was stuck in BTSC with him for an extra cycle and I was sure he would figure me out. But it was a thing of beauty when he decided to throw caution to the wind and confide in me that he was L. I loved that game so much, I have never been more proud of a win in my life. And the players in that game were freaking fantastic. Everyone played so phenomenally. Good times.

I spent all day yesterday rereading all 157 pages of that game, and it was truly one of the best times I've ever had on this site.

Everyone believed I had really accidentally posted in the thread instead of a PM except for orsonkidd, who we needed to believe it in order to escape being blocked. Everyone started talking like the game was over when it wasn’t.

Or do players have to never even suggest in posts to have any role info influencing their reads?

I’m also not too sure about the role categories in the game (civvies are town roles? Febs are wolves?)

Rule 2 is tricky. It is best to avoid it, because you might cross a line.

Civvies are town and FEBs are wolves, yes. These were using the old terms.

What about casing a player and adding that one believes they have the role 'Red Dead' ? That's neither role-claiming nor info-dumping, but I'd guess I'll have to avoid that too.

And then I wonder why people who weren’t the products of the lostpedia strand of mafia gaming (here, revolution, hedville, piano, in addition to Lp) consistently think I’m guilty.

Anyway, fun fact: FEB stands for fucking evil bastard. It was originally used to describe a former player named diamond dog (DD) (haven’t spoken to him in years, before anyone asks, but I think he’s doing well). I don’t remember who coined it. I don’t think it was me, although I certainly embraced it. And commissioned LC to design the FEB smiley. Modeled in part after DD, if you look close, it has a goatee.

Fair warning now ahead of role pm send-outs that my availability on Sunday will be effectively null. We're surprising the girls with a long-awaited trip to see Disney On Ice. We bought tickets for it as part of their Christmas presents in 2019. We were supposed to go in early April of 2020.

What even my wife doesn't know (besides my participation in this game, of course) is that I'm paying the girls' patience back with interest by springing for the pre-show backstage cast experience which will involve crafts and a dance party with some of the cast.
