Re: Banjo-Kazooie Mafia [GAME OVER]

Russ with the hard carry. Wow!

I did due diligence distancing during my death day, and hung in there for a good while considering my IRL circumstances. But that don't hold a candle to Russ's performance. Nail-biting final four, and man, I saw the no-lynch at the end and wondered how Sloonei was going to handle another 3 days of indecision.

G-Man wrote: Fri May 08, 2020 10:05 pm Pondering the ponderable...

Is Sloonei truly cleared? His claim followed on the tails of MP's claim. Sloonei claims to have targeted the exact same two people in the exact same order as MP. There's no way to verify this claim because Sloonei claims to be able to benefit from his power. According to his claim, his intended targets couldn't be reached. No one has received a benefit, so no one can technically confirm Sloonei's claim.

Based on everything you've seen out of Sloonei in this game aside from his claim, are you willing to proceed with the game clearing him as a lock-civ?

It's a difference of a POE of five or a POE of four.

I'll post vote stuff in the morning.
I made a post preempting this exact tinfoil.
link.
Sloonei wrote: Fri May 08, 2020 10:46 pm The context may not be entirely clear there.

My role allows me to target a player and provide them with some sort of bonus. I'm keeping it intentionally vague out of an abundance of caution. No need to tell anyone what my role may or may not be capable of. I have every reason to expect that the player would be made aware of the effects of my role. I targeted Russ on Night 1 and dunya on Night 2, as I've said. But as is now confirmed, MP's role prevented me from successfully targeting either one of them:
JaggedJimmyJay wrote: Fri May 08, 2020 6:28 pm During each night phase, you may select a player. That player will be unable to perform any night actions and will also be immune to targeting from all night actions.
In this post, from Day 2, I was attempting to drop a hint to Russtifinko about the bonus he should have received from me targeting him when he was beginning to voice suspicion of me. I hope the hint is pretty obvious now that I'm pointing it out.
Sloonei wrote: Fri May 08, 2020 10:53 pm And if you want to take it a step further and say that I could be Russ's partner and known that MP hit him with that role, I would have then also needed to have known the exact mechanics of MP's role, and I would also need to be dropping an inane clue ~72 hours in advance in anticipation that MP might claim someday and I might be able to use that claim to my ever so slight advantage. But then, I didn't even use the claim to my advantage. I used it to clear MP at a time when he was at least partially at risk of being lynched, although that threat had mostly died down by the time I was able to confirm him for myself. But that's dunya's fault for being in the wrong timezone.

But above all that: I caught nutella.
This isn't perfectly airtight, as Sloonei could have some other type of visiting role that was noticeably blocked by MP, and have made up this gifting gambit (especially since we have no evidence for it any of the nights). I'm not certain such wild gambits are a Sloonei thing to do as scum, especially with an already-claimed watcher in the game?

When TH flips bad, there might be a stronger argument that speed is his teammate but pls don't ignore Russ. Please give him the full attention he deserves.
I wouldn't say that's true, yesterday I tried to get MP lynched and he pooped out little post pebbles until his butt was sore, and then he ran out of posts and roleclaimed.

I didn't really want to lynch either of speed or Jack, but I preferred a Jack lynch to a speed lynch, and I was at work for the last 7 hours of the lynch so I spoke my peace when I could.

The way you're attacking me here though dunya makes me uneasy. You seemed like you had your head on straight the first few phases and you've really sort of lost your cool and you seem very... insulated. Like you're not talking TO anyone anymore, you're talking AT us, if that makes sense. I'm not sure what's changed but it definitely makes me trust you less.

Idk if you're bad or not, but I am most certainly GOOD, so I need you to work with me if we have any hope of winning this for town.

Again let's consider that I'm GOOD, and you should surely view yourself as town as well. Where do we go from here? Who do we interrogate? If you're not bad, then it has to be Russti and speed right? DDL is cleared and Sloonei is all but cleared, though I will have to look back and remember exactly why he's cleared.

The small amount of players left makes me think you ARE bad dunya, but I don't want that to be true. However I still plan on doing my due diligence and see how you interacted with nutella as well as how you may have interacted with any other potential baddies that are left who are obviously not me. I plan on doing this for everyone else left alive too, so I'm not singling you out. We all deserve intense scrutiny, but we need to keep our heads on straight so we make the right call.
Playing devil's advocate here (referring to dunya talking AT you) her posts were directed at the thread in case she died to the nightkill...
Which actually makes no sense.
dunya why did you think you would be nightkilled last night if you were in the POE?
Turnip Head wrote: Sun May 10, 2020 11:06 am Should we No Lynch and go to Lylo?
Only if we need more time. The POE likely wouldn't get narrowed by a single kill, since it's already narrowed down.

Just skimming through Tony and Jack's ISOs (pre-nutella flip) I'd say they're pretty darn compatible. Tony's got some soft defenses of nutella after scumreading her when everyone else was, and nothing else. Jack's only nutella engagement (granted, he came into the game shortly before her death) was an accident where he thought he was quoting dunya.

You could argue it is because the host said he would make up for the setup being scumsided. But so far there have been a lot of vanilla town roles.

That said I'm expecting the mafia to be pretty weak. Maybe nutella was the only non-vanilla role in the mafia since she is the villain of the game. Then again this isn't a very powerful ability for it to be the only one, I guess.
Maybe he thought that, if his role had a purpose for town, that might be it. A pseudo-cop sort of thing. I'm pretty convinced he was wrong, with all the vanilla flips (and the non-vanilla scum flip).

In any case, we can move on from it now. Nanook and Sig both flipped, and their actions aren't going to tell us much. We can look for TMI there, and for nutella interactions.

Also even 51% would still be significantly >rand lol, assuming a 3/11 ratio is 23% at game start or 27% now.

We are not in a vacuum.
When you say more likely scum
Do you mean 80% or 51?
Because I look at what sig has done

dunya wrote: Mon May 04, 2020 11:38 am i mean, if sig is mafia he's treated you the same way so maybe i AM wrong and the mafia team have all picked 1 person to tunnel the fuck out of in the thread :p

also hi speedchuck. what are your thoughts on anyone other than sig. top three "i feel bad about you" people?
Depends a lot on Sig's flip. I have an eye on TH, but if sig is bad, I have a hard time seeing them as a teammate. Same for nanook.

I've been skimming through D1 and I'm interested in the lynch results. If sig is mafia, mac could have been a save. if he's town, I really suspect the people who avoided both of those wagons and parked their vote somewhere useless.

So

TH, Nanook, and Sig are big ones to look at.
DDL, nutella, TSP, russ for sig-town, because possible TMI. (I'd have to read closer to see who)
Maybe Sloonei on the mac wagon if sig is scum?

That might seem a little inconclusive but I practically replaced into my own role D2, so. Busy weekend. My thoughts are a lot of places and I'm just spitballin.

Until Nanook or Sig provide more info I'm not voting for sig.

Unless sig starts doing scumread-worthy things, of course.

I’m bored of this heavy implication
Just tell me why
You think that, in my situation
I should vote for this guy
He is obviously implying he used an investigation on Sig that gave him a guilty result.

Also explains where he got the extra jiggy from. I assume he only gets the jiggy if he hits a mafioso, or something like that.

[VOTE: Sig] aubergine
'PRETTY LIKELY' a red check.

What does that even mean?
Can we get a rough percentage?
This check is very lean.
Does it depend on Sig's role message?

I don't like implications. Saying "sig I have red check please claim" would take less posts and seem less scummy.

That said I agree sig should claim now.

Also mine would be hilarious because I've read pages 6 and 7. It would be a mad mishmash of sheeping and random impressions.

1. MP isn't actually emotional at all he's using it as a tactic and is mafia
2. He's mad and it's bleeding Into his posts that I called him mafia, because he is and I'm right. This is more likely.
"I'm not tunnelling. Really there are only two possibilities. He's mafia or he's mafia."

I townread sig for this post but also find it hilarious.

'not-negative'
'not necessarily agenda driven'
'maybe it's supposed to look good'

Do you have a read on Epi, or are those hedge brambles distracting you?

I'll speak to that when the other game is done. But don't expect coronachuck in this game, at least not till D2.
