So, are you admitting I am getting better at this?Golden wrote:Well played, eloh, well played indeed. By the end, I had a feeling that was your role. "Sir epi" indeed.![]()

I understand. Kudos to all the daddies who work hard, stressful, tedious, boring, annoying, (fill in the blank) jobs to support their families. I know my Epi has to deal with a lot of crap at work, but I am so thankful as it allows me to stay home and school our children while running my own business from home. And yes, daycare IS crazy expensive. When our kids weren't in formal school yet, we decided it was so expensive it was better for me to stay home with them and keep a few extra kids than for me to work full time and pay for daycare. I've been home ever since. Started my own cake business, homeschool our kids, and enjoying almost every moment of itJackofhearts2005 wrote:@Eloh
It's a boring and stressful office job to replace my current cushy and boring office job. More exposure and a lot more money, though. Daycare is expensive.

I can be seen as inconsistent because I don't always explain my thought processes well. And players tend to think I say things that sound baddie all the time even when I am civ. I've learned not to get my panties in a wod about it because then they think even worse of me.

Re: A Mafia of Unfortunate Events [DAY 5]
When I said I would should do an ISO thingy, I was half kidding. I actually have done a few of those before, but they don't do much for me. And I finally understand what you mean by me being the constant. That would mean I Wilgy was my teammate. Haha, I don;t know why I didn't understand what you were saying. I told LC it was a smart theory, but wrong. Then when you brought up MM and Wilgy...I don't know what went wrong in my head. Anyway....still...doesn't mean it wasn't wilgy that cursed me. Could have been.Epignosis wrote:I don't know why you would volunteer to do "one of those ISO things" on Wilgy. I guess I just don;t see mm as zany as wilgy. And I wasn't just talking about the Sir thing in and of itself. I was talking about what LC mentioned...the triple WIFOM thing.Epignosis wrote:I don't regard the "Sir" curse as especially zany, but I do think MM can be about as zany as Wilgy.Elohcin wrote:@Epi - about the wilgy and MM Sir curse. However it wasn't just the Sir curse in context. LC's idea was that I personally would curse you (the teammate) for "triple WIFOM."
It was bizarre to see you say you could see Wilgy doing this over MM when the constant in question was you (i.e., the teammate).Spoiler: show
Anyway...
The reason I asked about MM and Wilgy is that MM is alive and Wilgy is dead, and I consider them more or less equally zany.
In your post, you said:
This implies that you know Wilgy was bad.Elohcin wrote:I'm not sure about MM, but wilgy for sure. Was he alive at that point? If so...I can try to do one of those ISO things on him today after the kids are done with school. Maybe it will further support my suspicions of DomJ/k. Or am I?!
Mafias with this ability are generally eager to learn the role of the person they killed. And guess what? The Hook-Handed Man – He may discover the identity of a dead player every night.
14. Wilgy - killed by Count Olaf Night 3
That means Wilgy would be checked Night 4.
It's Day 5.
Tell me- did you throw Glorfindel's replacement under the bus?
I did not throw Sprit (glorf's replacement) under the bus. I am not the Hook-Handed man. Why would I throw a teammate under the bus like that? If I were bad, I would want to keep my teammates, not get rid of them.
Why would you choose Wilgy over anybody else to analyze? There's a lot of dead people who have been killed by civilians. Any of those could be mafia. Wilgy: The guy you say is zanier than MM. What would you even hope to attain from reading his (super zany) posts? And how would that help you understand Dom? Wilgy mentioned Dom twice. Once when Dom had seven votes, and once to say "I don't trust Jack. I didn't trust Jack before the Dom thing."
You think Wilgy (or his team) "Sir cursed" you and that was "triple WIFOM?" Again, you're the constant in Long Con's theory. For that to be true, Wilgy would have to be your teammate.
I still like my theory about the dead checker though. That's just too many damn coincidences lined up in a row.
It's okay, everyone ALWAYS thinks I'm bad. I get lynched as a civ a WHOLE BUNCH b/c people think I'm always bad. But I am one of the top 2 or 3 winners as a mafia. Go check out the hall of fame stuff. Its true.Jackofhearts2005 wrote:I love how Eloh's defense is all like "I'm not scummy like you think cause I'm good at mafia, now."

Epi called out Golden, Quin and Eloh as bad. Talked about wanting to lynch Eloh even. Then night happened. Quin and Golden aren't lynch options and so Epi backs off the Eloh suspicion today. Sorry I'm on my phone right now or I'd pull quotes for this.

Re: A Mafia of Unfortunate Events [DAY 5]
I wouldn't say any of the underlined if we were on a baddie team together. I would avoid having to defend my teammates. It's just how I play. When I first started playing mafia, I would get a little angry (not a lot, but just a bit), if a teammate would call me out in the thread. Now I welcome it. You don't want to show who your teammates are by always defending them. You also don't want to avoid them altogether either. I *think* I have learned how to tell myself, "you are civ and you have no teammates" when I am bad. And I have some games to prove that I have gotten better at it.Long Con wrote:Can you point out anything in here that you wouldn't say if you were on a baddie team with Epi?Elohcin wrote:I can vouch for Epi here. not quoting your post, but yes, it didn't take much for me to jump on Glorf/Sprit. I have been bad with Glorf before and no offense to him, he is difficult to be a baddie with. He won't lie. He hates being a baddie. So, when I found out he replaced out, I thought....he must have been bad and couldn't take it anymore. I can spot a bad Glorf very easily.

I don't have a reason. Get off my ass.
Elo has given not a single reason to suspect me. My discussion with her is not one I would say made me feel better.
I voted because I don't want to be an ass and miss the vote again.
I don't trust Epi. I wouldn't say he's bad. I do not trust him.

And, his reason for voting early is a lie. He's still around, ain't he?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dom, Quin, Golden. Boom Boom Boom - baddie team 1 - eliminated! Let's do this thing.
You're WRONG! (said like Ramsey's "It's Raw!") I mean, Epi might be bad...I couldn't know for sure.Long Con wrote:Well, as long as this one is going to take off, I do actually have an opinion that I've been holding back because I didn't want to get nightkilled. No, I'm being serious.
Epi and Elo are on a team. And that team is the Guardians, of course - they can't be Troupe because they voted Glorfyo. That's the team with VP Nero, the curser. Elo's curse was a double-whammy self-hit for the team, in that she was cursed or cursed herself to call Epi Sir (a member of the Guardians) in every post. It's kind of triple WIFOM: Elo gets cursed, Epi bears the brunt, and she calls him a role on their team. Maybe his role, I don't know if it's that extra delicious or not. My gut would say 'yes', because why not?
Knowing (and I'm going off meta here which may be eight months or so out of date) that Epi is often asked what his opinion of Elo is, and is supposedly often right, Epi's (I believe) first opinion of Elo is that she is bad. Then he allows himself to talk himself out of it because of logical reasons, and threatens suspicion on those who disagree:
This is what I believe is going on here. I just think it all fits, it all makes sense to me. This is what happens when Epi and Elo are on a team together. Nothing I have seen since I started thinking about this has made me believe it less. I do think he believes what he says about Dom and Quin, and he may be awesome and be right.Epignosis wrote:I have some suspicion of Eloh, but she's been cursed (however mildly), and I don't care for the way some here have tried to force me into staying suspicious of her when there is some evidence in her favor.
Kuddos for your theory though...it's actually pretty good. I am still trying to figure our why Epi backed off of me, honestly.

Dom: Quin is bad cause of how he reacted to my lynch train on Day 3.
Jack: What would you have done in his place as a townie?

Golden is acting strange this game. His tone, his attitude, etc is all off, imo. I would never think he would be one to come in, read the last 5 posts or so and comment on those but start reading from where he left off.
Dom is accusing me of doing the same thing when that is not what I do. I do not come in, read the last 5 most recent posts, and the comment. I start from where I left off and then post/comment before I have to go again. I can usually read everything and catch up. Sometimes, I cannot. Dom seems a bit irrational since he has come back. He doesn't seem to be reading and understanding before flying off the handle.
Golden seems irrational too.
Dom and Golden are my top two suspects.

(Not fully caught up but posting anyway)
You have not explained why you think I came back bad. You won't and cannot because you have no basis for this. I didn't post for 1 day for the following reasons: a) to give people i asked to give me a summary time to do so (which they did not) and b) because it was new year's eve and i had plans. Your immediate jump to me being bad and your biggest suspect such that you kept declaring you'd vote for me if you could (which you could have) makes no sense and is based in nothing but.... wanting me out of the game? Why? This is a pretty gross milkshake you're making for me.
Now, let's analyze that clusterfuck of a post.
1) Criticizes Golden for posting without catching up.
2) Suspects me but doesn't criticize me for doing the same thing.
3) Does the exact same thing herself.
Elohcin has no actual stance on Golden doing this other than the fact that she wants Golden dead.
2) you should catch up on previous posts before posting unless you have a better excuse for not being around.
3)I already explained that I didn't do the same thing.
I also think I explained pretty clearly why I think you could be bad.
I cannot post anymore right now. I have other responsibilities. This post alone took so much time because I've been back and forth.

But I think it's a weird situation.

Re: A Mafia of Unfortunate Events [DAY 4]
FWIW, I was being genuine Day 0. At first, I thought Snow was serious about not reading his role. And then I thought, well, maybe he did, is bad, and is lying so if he is found suspicious, he can say "well, my behavior cannot be baddie behavior since I don't even know my own alignment." But then I found out (I think Day 1) that it was some kind of joke from another game and so I let it go. In fact, I think it was Sir Epi that pointed that out to me and I was a little shocked. He is usually not that nice to me in Mafia. He likes to just let me struggle. Still not sure what to think of that. He isn't one for explaining things to me.Long Con wrote:I do sympathize with that. BR and I have an agreement that we don't really pay attention to each other for the first half of the game, and that's what I tell people when they ask my opinion of her. The baddie tick I got from that is that it seemed like you were setting up Snow Dog for a lynch for a joke, that you were pushing the "Snow Dog is lying and so he's bad" angle that I think is really weak. Opportunistic, as in you saw the opportunity to push a dude's lynch and took it.Elohcin wrote:You say slight baddie tick, but you never gave a reason for it.
And as for Sir Epi, he cannot even make up his mind about it. Put yourself in my shoes when it comes to Sir. Can you imagine having everyone always listening to Black Rock when it comes to your alignment? It's just gotten old. Every game Sir and I are in together players ask him what he thinks of me and take it as truth. The only reason players are back and forth on what to believe is because Sir Epi is back and forth on me, himself.
I'm up to here rereading your posts and I don't have another baddie tick. IT may end up that I chalk this up to "getting a reaction from Eloh" and not voting you, I can't say until I'm done the reread.

Please explain why. I am wondering if you are confusing me with the old elo who was an easy lynch for a baddie. I am no easy lynch anymore. I have gotten much better at this game.
