Vanilla soup? Yuck. Anyways you have no powers, good luck good luck.**American Townie:**
You're a vanilla town, but with a gun. A gun that you have to use. Why else would you have a gun, if not to use it? That would be silly. Anyways, if you receive more than one vote during the day, the following night you MUST shoot someone who voted for you. Only eod votes are counted for the purposes of this role.
Example: on D2 you are voted by fingers, sabie, and nanook. On n2 you must choose to shoot one of those three.

Please note that your fellow DnD players are NOT guaranteed to be town.

Part of me just wants to like... clean out the game if slots who've had wagons and not died. It gives us better data points. Flipping the likes of Scotty, Rondo, SVS, Marmot... Even though I have townreads in here feels +ev for town given the gamestate.

Re: Game of Champions 2022 D3
For the purposes of this analysis, I'm going to disregard the fact that there is at least one mod squad still in the mix, and I'll refer to all non-mafia factions as "town". The only thing I can determine from this with regards to the mod squad is that Scotty is almost certainly not mod squad.
I'm going to assume that the 11:00 wagon on Seanzie is all town (Neon, Dyslexicon, Michelle, MacDougall). The wagon had traction, and I think it'd be a pretty risky play to bus in this situation to bus that early when there were plenty of other viable options.
Then, I'm going to assume that Lilypetal and Porscha are town for being on Seanzie at 17:00. I'd have a hard time believing that there were more than two mafia on Seanzie when the wagons were 7-7-7.
I'll also assume that Marmot is town, because Radishes switched off Seanzie and onto Marmot, trying to get a last-minute wagon there.
For all of these assumptions, I've coloured the names in dark green above. I believe that these are pretty safe assumptions.
Now let's try some more contrived assumptions. These I'll colour blue. I'm not totally comfortable with these, but without them I'm unable to make a decision on whom to vote.
I'll assume that the people who joined the wagon on Seanzie late are town. This includes Party Crasher, Kate, and falcon. These were people who were voting for Rondo or SVS when the wagons were 7-7-7. I don't know the timing of these votes so it's difficult to tell whether they were a last-minute bus to get on the wagon once the yeet was already decided.
I'll assume that sig is town for claiming the kill on Alison, because there's no reason to assume he'd do that as mafia.
I'm going to assume that Rondo is town, because two mafiosi bussed their vig and I don't see why they'd bus their vig over some other role (whatever Rondo is).
With these assumptions, I feel confident placing a vote on Scotty. It doesn't make sense to me that no mafia would ever vote for Scotty, if he were town. Especially since Radishes was looking for an alternative to Seanzie at EoD, I don't see why he'd choose Marmot over Scotty if Scotty is town. I also believe that at least one of the Rondo voters at 17:00 has to be mafia, given that there were two people on Seanzie at that time.
If Scotty is town, then I think that Party Crasher is mafia, for the same reasons I mentioned above: I don't believe there would be 0 mafia voting for Scotty, and I think that there would be at least one mafia voting for Rondo at 17:00.

I am starting to feel like resolving Rondo now is optimal even though I think he's town because his play is making me nervous that he's trying to buy time to achieve a wincon like a full soup or something. Which may explain why I'm still alive as I've claimed already and they can just soup me at any point.

Re: Game of Champions 2022 D3
Ok I finally perused falcon’s ISO in regards to sabi, Alison and MR. Here’s the summary of posts and my takeaways below:
To start, falcon has been off and on suspicious of all 4 soup mafia at various points in the game.
However.
His suspicion on D1 for Alison and sabi is softballing it at best. He had a back and forth with sabi for like 4 posts which prompted Sabi to question why he was so ‘obsessed’ with them. Maybe a bit of an overreaction on their part. But sure.
We never circle back on sabi or Alison however. Falcon does call them both ‘wolf’ with a certain air of jokiness D1. But there is never developed reads, and he freely pivots to voting elsewhere throughout the day.
D2 is marginally better. The posts they stand out positively:
“ This take of Alison's seems overtly manufactured”
“ Going thru Alison's ISO, I saw that she gave a lot of weight to Sabi's spew, w/o considering any anti-spew. Then she has this epiphany...it's a reasonable take, but then I have to ask myself "How often does Alison back off a tunnel so easily & readily?"”
RE: Seanzie: “I feel he's been present, and I think his engagement has been...safe”
As far as actually voting, I can’t pinpoint vote totals, but when he names his votes, he never actually votes for any of the soup mafia except MR beginning of D2, Seanzie end of D2, and MR again at top of today. MR is an undeveloped read that I don’t think had any traction to begin with. His continuation of MR today before being shot is likewise pretty shruggy and not built on anything stable.
Almost all his posts with Seanzie are joking or bouncing off ideas. It wasn’t until someone asked him about Seanzie that he admitted his posts look safe. And he only added on to the Seanzie wagon in the last 40 minutes of D2, so cred there is inconsequential.
I think the most bizarre progression in his iso is his light pressing of MR on both D2 and D3, never developing, and then immediately pivoting to an alternative for possible vig shots in Porscha on D2 and 112 on D3 for inactivity. Those seem to come out of nowhere, and the only time he talks about MR getting vig’d is when others have brought up the possibility.
Conclusion; i lean soup mafia partner. I don’t think I’m confbiasing- I picked falcon to read through because no one is really talking about him and I don’t remember his presence in the game. I think he is wholly compatible with the soup mafia and I’d vote there at the present based on my full perusal of his ISO. There is nothing clearing ISO-wise with the revealed mafia members.

Re: Game of Champions 2022 D3
Haven't fully caught up on the overnight pages. I tried reading them when one of my kids woke up and couldn't really take any of it in except the flip, so... I'll do that later.
But I think it's time for me to do a list. This is not a rainbow list in how much I townread or wolfread each person. I've townread at least everyone left for some of the time. It's a rainbow list on how good or bad I think my reasons for reading people town are. So, for example, if I don't really trust someone but the reason I don't trust them is tinfoil and there's good evidence they're town, they're higher here. For people where I think the evidence needs reexamination and might not be so crash hot, they're lower.
Tell me if you think I've missed anything big in the analysis.
Tier 1 - the evidence for town is strong imo
DrWilgy - his approach that ended with the MR shot was towny af
Mac - has been working his ass off for town win, besides that his constant paranoia of his own reads even when he has really got a good basis for them feels very town mac
Neon - Shot sabi, claimed first. No way in a sea of six she claims that so quickly if it's redirected. And it was a hero shot imo.
PC - mechanically everything about this lot, including the role claim, feel absolutely ironclad. And in my view tutuu is putting in serious solving work. All the sus here is because of the shifty nature of having hydra members who are shitposting it up imo.
Tier 2- the evidence for town is good, but not waterproof
Dizzy - One of the solviest in the game. Analysed their shot well, even if it hit 3p not mafia.
Falcon - spew clear takes are good, and while he gets lost in the shuffle he comes out making good points that aren't made by others
Kate - multiple wolves aimed for kate to be lhf and got remarkably frustrated at my shielding over a significantly long period of time. Did not feel like bussing.
sig - Probably shot Alison, my own mechanical 'sig could have shot me and be lying about it' is what keeps him from top slot
Porscha - along with kate, up there as one of the best cases for 'interactions with wolves really do clear' in my mind.
Tier 3 - The evidence for town is there, but there's counterpoints I can't ignore
Rondo - Rondo is high contributing, could say high wim. I think there are good reasons to conclude from d2 analysis that he's clean, but there's also counterpoints there like the attempted counterwagon to marmot rather than just pushing rondo over seanzie. Also, he's being rondo, which inherently brings a lot of ambiguity (perhaps deliberate ambiguity). I feel like rondo being in this tier is probably due to deliberate action on rondo's part.
Scotty - There is a lot of interaction clearing for scotty that rings true to me. There was a counterpoint I noticed in my chat with alison, and that someone else (rondo?) also noticed and pointed out. Alison didn't want me to bring scotty into the neighbourhood, really the only person she pushed me off of my options. It makes sense that she would want me to suggest someone she could kill, in preference to someone she couldn't (ie a teammate).
sloonei - jumps in with astute wise old tortoise points from time to time. But there's nothing truly clearing there.
Tier 4 - The evidence for town isn't there imo, but there's a counterpoint that might actually be correct
112 - Nothing there to speak to towniness at all, there are some minimal interactions which could be read as clearing.
Ender - Role claim could be any alignment, scotty and Wilgy are non-traditional choices for using the role on in this game (although Ender has justified them). And there isn't really any objective evidence Ender is town. The counterpoint is vibes... Ender feels town.
Guillo - Has been wolfing it up all game objectively, but some people read Alison interactions and reaction to Mac roleclaim as clearing.
Lily - There just isn't evidence here imo, the counterpoint is 'lily feels town' - town enough that I even had her in my towncore early.
Marmot - Marmot's claim feels true and his choice to give to nut feels like what town Marmot would do, but that's all NAI really. Marmot had a significant role in elimiming cape and none in elimming seanzie. Counterpoint here is vibes too.
Michelle - Michelle hasn't really got her head in the game yet, so there's no evidence for town so far. Counterpoint is meta reads, a number of people have defended Michelle with town meta reads.
SVS - Has been quite, much quieter and more absent than normal SVS. The question is whether this is AI. SVS pointing out the rules wording implying one mafia could be read as town-leaning.
urist - Hasn't really done anything to get a clear, but several people had strong townreads early.

However.
His suspicion on D1 for Alison and sabi is softballing it at best. He had a back and forth with sabi for like 4 posts which prompted Sabi to question why he was so ‘obsessed’ with them. Maybe a bit of an overreaction on their part. But sure.

The rest of your take is a mix between laughable and agenda-based.

Evidence Ender is town.
He didn't just silently give guns to his teammates to use to shoot townies.
Pretty strong evidence if you ask me.

Yeah I agree with this, I meant to add above that even if he didn't know what he did the first time, the second time he claims to have worked it out and expressly picked Wilgy who shot a teammate.MacDougall wrote: ↑Fri Feb 24, 2023 4:31 pm Evidence Ender is town.

Having said that, you might pick Wilgy for the chaos.
I think I'm happy with the tier I have ender in, in terms of evidence, but my gut read is that he's townier than that.

The point in Lily's favour is she's consistently voted wolves and she tried to get people to stop pushing onto me. Obviously the latter can be pocketing but your list reads like specifically looking for town reasoning so there it is. She's had very clean votes and pushes when she could have just not

Right, but it’s the same 3rd party as ilario. Sounds like they are on the same ‘team’, even if they’re 3rd party.
But eh. Maybe not lost wolf. That would have a Mafia next to it I guess. I think it’s just bizarre to have identical 3rd parties in a game

What is the mafia jusrifucation in Kate awkwardly claiming vanilla?
You’re calling out things you can objectively claim are weird. But why is it bad? Town does weird shot all the time. You gotta be able to figure out wilgys town weird shit from his wolf weird shit.
When someone comes in the thread pointing out weird shit and calling it all suspicious without analysis of why they think it’s wolf-leaning, that bothers me.
Alison, why do you think your above description of my behaviour towards Kate is wolf-leaning?
You have TMI on Kate/want to look good if she flips town but don't actually want to talk the town out of voting her out.
You're pushing an agenda that involves Kate being town but struggle to back it up with real reasons because it's not a genuine read.
> What is the mafia jusrifucation in Kate awkwardly claiming vanilla?
Lots of people claim their roles early when they feel under pressure which Kate clearly did. Vanilla is a role that is not easily disproven in the way that a role with a more active component might be. But beyond that it's just an unlikely role to exist in the game, as previous GOCs have been role madness and nanook is not a host that is likely to make a game more mountainous.
