There was a time when you did, way back in our earliest games.
You haven't read me correctly as an evil JJJ in a very long time though. Transistor might apply, though you said yourself that you were trolling me then.
You have no reason to read me as scum now. You have no reason to tack me on a team with wolbre either. It's easy to make up Mac reads because they beg no explanation.

What was that, 2 or 3 years ago? To say my play is shit when looking at the very last game we played together is funny.
Anway it's interesting that when I said I had your number you assumed I meant as a civ hunting rather than just generally.
Also I was just having some fun waiting to replace out. Marmot is stepping in for me. Enjoy.

After browsing through his ISO, he's exhibiting behavior that I exhibit when I'm mafia. Nearly all of his posts are short. Many of them are uninspiring questions, including the following.
I see that Elohcin gave a long explanation, in response to the last question, but I see a lot of soft pressing without any follow-through. No hardcore scumhunting, just going through the motions.

Re: Easter Mafia [DAY 1]
this game is so much more palatable atm than the job.
Let’s see...
JJJ and Quin are camels in a spitting match.
Mac makes some blanket statements that jjj is bad, as well wolbre
Marmot comes in (hi) and WIFOMs the shit out of everything.
Gotta admit. I don’t know what Mac specifically saw in calling out jjj, which raises my eyebrows but I especially don’t like how Marmot entered the game on his behalf.

That jjj got 3 votes so easily in the first half of day 1 and still is the leading Potential Rabbit (tm) leads me to believe that it’s too easy.
Especially nova’s vote.
It wouldn’t surprise me if Quin and jjj just got into a semantics despute. Nova’s vote is a thumb getting caught in a drawer

Jjj calls out nova for looking suspect, and this is how nova reciprocates:

Now this could just be a difference in culture, but jjj isn’t the “loose and funny” post kind of guy, afaik. I was prodding him with that question since the post pinged me. It felt awkward and forced.
I like loose and funny check-in posts. His felt weird. Like he had it pre-made or he didn't know what to say and just wrote 'check in post'. I like to pay attention to openers since I believe that's a very awkward phase of the game for baddies. There is no flow or pace to the game at that moment.

This guy is mafia.
Your thoughts are predicated on the comparison that my gameplay is similar to yours, specifically in that what is alignment indicative for you also is for me, but I don't think that's true. Would you say that we play similarly enough that such a comparison would prove meaningful? I wouldn't.
It's true I'm not in hardcore scum hunting mode yet, I'll give you that. I'm working my way there. Doesn't mean I'm mafia. If anything, whenever I'm mafia I always feel pressured to force that much earlier on. Instead I think my ISO displays that I'm trying to let it happen organically. I have nothing to hide.

Re: Easter Mafia [DAY 1]
I must admit that one thing on the back of my mind is that, despite how easily votes have formed on Jay and no solid reason to believe this is mafia Jay, I'm not entirely convinced Jay believed what he was saying in his responses to Quin. The verbiage seemed a bit over the top. Not exactly out of character though, and it's not inspiring for a vote, but something that's going through my mind at the moment nonetheless.
Other than that, I got a whole lot of nothing. I'll post a POE rainbow momentarily, but it's weak right now. Tough to judge most players' alignments based on the available content.

I’m just realizing how brilliant Marmot’s D1 tradition is. There is no expectation of him ever making a real stance this phase as town and it carries over into his scum game easily, freeing him of most things a scum might get trapped in that early. I’m not making a read here, just, kudos.

By voting for himself in every single game, he can avoid drawing attention to himself as a scum by, say, offering false sounding reads or sloppy votes, things you look for in a scum on D1.M Plus 7 wrote: ↑Mon May 21, 2018 10:50 amWhat do you mean exactly?ColinIsCool wrote: ↑Mon May 21, 2018 10:49 am I’m just realizing how brilliant Marmot’s D1 tradition is. There is no expectation of him ever making a real stance this phase as town and it carries over into his scum game easily, freeing him of most things a scum might get trapped in that early. I’m not making a read here, just, kudos.

Re: Easter Mafia [DAY 1]
I suppose that's true, but unfortunately I feel as though Marmot is generally undervalued with respect to his serious contributions at times due to this, so it's a pros/cons kind of deal.ColinIsCool wrote: ↑Mon May 21, 2018 10:53 amBy voting for himself in every single game, he can avoid drawing attention to himself as a scum by, say, offering false sounding reads or sloppy votes, things you look for in a scum on D1.M Plus 7 wrote: ↑Mon May 21, 2018 10:50 amWhat do you mean exactly?ColinIsCool wrote: ↑Mon May 21, 2018 10:49 am I’m just realizing how brilliant Marmot’s D1 tradition is. Yeah, absolutely. I’m not saying it extends past the very beginning of the game.

Put your thumb in a drawer and then slam the drawer. Ouchie wowow.M Plus 7 wrote: ↑Mon May 21, 2018 10:43 amI agree with that interpretation of Jay and Quin's behavior. Right now I'm thinking it's town/town, but I'm open to other possibilities.Scotty wrote: ↑Mon May 21, 2018 10:27 am That jjj got 3 votes so easily in the first half of day 1 and still is the leading Potential Rabbit (tm) leads me to believe that it’s too easy.
Especially nova’s vote.
It wouldn’t surprise me if Quin and jjj just got into a semantics despute. Nova’s vote is a thumb getting caught in a drawer
What do you mean by the red statement exactly?

I don’t buy the expanded explanation because it came after the fact, but nova voted for jay when he had just been called out by him

Re: Easter Mafia [DAY 1]
Looking at Jay's ISO now. I feel heavily conflicted because on the one hand, he has 3 votes and has seemingly made an effort to keep the game moving despite fighting some serious burnout. That points to town Jay.
On the other hand, I feel like I don't understand what happened to Jay's progression of his reads to some extent. He seemed to genuinely suspect Elo:

Then got into this massive back and forth with Quin starting here, using various over the top language, highlighted below:

I initially thought this looked alright, but thinking about it some more, somehow I think I simultaneously hate the Jay wagon (because those other votes are crap), but am starting to wonder if Jay is in fact bad this game.

I’m all for good D1 traditions that don’t get you lynched D1, but this isn’t just a D1 tradition for him either. He will often self vote later too, and he guzzles WIFOM like he’s at an orchard tasting.ColinIsCool wrote: ↑Mon May 21, 2018 10:49 am I’m just realizing how brilliant Marmot’s D1 tradition is. Marmot’s production is where we should see an alignment pop up

Oh, I agree it looks bad, but does it mean Nova is bad?Scotty wrote: ↑Mon May 21, 2018 11:02 amI mean, itlooksbadman.jpgM Plus 7 wrote: ↑Mon May 21, 2018 10:44 amWhat do you make of this with respect to nova's alignment?Scotty wrote: ↑Mon May 21, 2018 10:34 amNow this could just be a difference in culture, but jjj isn’t the “loose and funny” post kind of guy, afaik. I do smell distancing though, if in fact Jay is bad. Honestly, Nova and Elo's votes could both be distancing in that event, because they do not seem grounded in reality.

Re: Easter Mafia [DAY 1]
I could be tinfoiling, but if one actually looks at Jay's behavior this game, what has he done? Just turned on people that suspect him and automatically declare them as fake, without any real investigative work.
Tell me what you think.
