Don't know if I wanna elaborate on TSP for now because it probably looks silly, will just chalk it off as a gut thing for now, I think he feels different than his other town games, at least that I feel good saying. Not wolf indicative yet, I have other things brewing for the read but need more before serving the dish.
tedxtr wrote: ↑Thu Oct 08, 2020 3:27 pm
it's weird because TSP feels more likely that it'll hit than any of my other wolf reads
could be wrong on dunya
i'll just let this vote sink in
[VOTE:
TSP ] aubergine
could you elaborate on what’s different? and how you went from saying its not wolf indicative/you had other things brewing to then voting him?
I said he feels different, that may not be wolf indicative, but I have other reasons to be feeling bad about him that are probably vague aorn / I need more posts to be confident in it.
I think LC could be town, I wanted to make a read on him and say f it, but it's probably not very good because he'd be changing the way he thinks about the game regardless.
main differences
- i sr michelle (not as confident as earlier though)
- i lean town on ash
- i tr tsp
- i have nook and tutuu as town

I don't think Ash has been posting anything that's out of an average to decent wolf's range, iirc your reasoning was solely mindmeld, which... yeah.
I don't know why you're town leaning TSP at all.
I can maybe see nanook and tutuu as town, but that's not "having a different view of the game", that's just I didn't ISO them and skimmed most of their posts.

what are those reasons?
I didn't like his Dunya read and he comes across as trying to look like he cares about the game when he actually doesn't.
The posts that I've read aren't similar to his town game fmpov and I don't think he cares about any of the reads he made but he's trying to come across as he does. (the chainsaw read thing)
He posts like he's trying to get town read while posting with minimum effort imo. I don't associate carrying for his thread position with town TSP at all.
If you'd make like a cursory glance of his town games you'd probably smell something's off as well, but even without them, you should be able to pick up on the stuff that I've explained, I think.

re: michelle, i’ve said already. i don’t think she’s posting like a villager/is actually trying to solve. what reason do you have to tr her?
re: ash, so? why does “not posting anything thats out of a decent wolf’s range” make ash mafia? what is scummy about him? also i do have other reasons for thinking ash is town
re: tsp, idk he just felt like town!tony to me. i admittedly have no idea what he’d look like as mafia though. why is he different to you?
i don’t understand why you don’t have reads on tutuu/nook/me given we’re like the most active posters and you have experience with us. like why are we not priorities for you to sort?

sorry guys, i was feeling pretty lousy and turns out i had some food poisoning and im still a little out of it but im here
gth reads without reading the thread, but a few tone-posts from each player here we go
112 - w
Arete - t
Ash Lael - w
DrWilgy - t
Hally - w
Long Con - t
Michelle - w
NANOOKTHEGREATANDFEARSOME - t
Poison Chan - t
tedxtr - w
TonyStarkPrime - t
TripleHaven - t
tutuu - t
Vulgard - t
my poe is
112
ash
hally
michelle
ted
i wanna say my strongest town reads are nanook and longcon tbh. my weakest wolf read is ted, so i will not vote for him until day 3 at least.
the person i think most likely could swing w from my t reads is vulgard for possible tmi, but i will eventually read up (or not) see what he has to offer.
high poster hally in a vacuum should be town, but i felt like she was gaslighting us with questions and content which she doesn't really build from. like they're prods and questions which she doesn't really care about one way or the other.
don't really know much about tsp, except he didn't like one of my posts and i like that reaction. no idea if triplehaven has posted yet, i'll get there.
wilgy im giving a soul town read to.
The bolded is always a weird thing to think about. I think because Dunya expressed it directly here maybe it's more likely to come from town? Level 1 is it means w!dunya because t!dunya gets mad at me for an incorrect read, but I don't think Dunya plays like that.
It's a decent looking poe though. Neither of arete or vulgard. I think scum who's skimming would throw one in.
Also, TR on LC. Spicy.
I'll move my vote for now.
it beats me that TSP would clear dunya off one post and especially for this reason, he's also hedging massively, even though the mentality behind the post is supposed to reflect "I think Dunya is town"

Just made a poast on the last page saying I could be wrong on dunya because of this

it doesn't, I'm saying he shouldn't get town read for anything he's posted

i mean, you listed him as a wolf in your reads list so you clearly think it does

...and on top of the fact that he shouldn't get town read because his posts don't require that much depth of thought, I have concerns with him.

tsp, idk he just felt like town!tony to me
how?
dunno. he’s just like throwing out takes spontaneously like he does as town. again, i honestly have no clue how he is as mafia but so far i don’t really notice a difference. i can check past games though
Hally wrote: ↑Thu Oct 08, 2020 4:24 pm
ted, why do you think michelle could be town?
Admittedly this game play is probably what she'd aim for as a wolf in order to override meta but I don't think she'd pull it off this naturally as an actual wolf. The snark behind her posts when people call her a wolf reads like town that's rubbing their hands together thinking "it's working" and "nobody knows how to read me know haha"
It's not the ideal read I'd have but it's tailored to her. I've owned her soul in countless games so I don't go for TMI reads and such, I just have other ways of doing it. Idc if she switches meta or whatever, I still think I can pinpoint her down by the end. She is listed after all in the "wolves can slip here" section because of it, the reads aren't what I'm comfortable with because I like TMI and non-TMI reads more but I gotta make the most of what I got.
im really somewhat baffled by ted still having all of nook/tutuu/me as null despite us having 200 posts a piece and him having meta on us
like idk, i feel like we’d be the first ppl anyone would try to sort just by virtue of our activity. plus we’re strong players who in think ted would want to get a handle on early? it’s just... kinda weird to still have us null

alright. her response to suspicion is currently the main doubt i have about her being scum. i’ll marinate on it

Saw something about expecting an indie and 3 mafia
Do heists have indies? My experience with matrix setups are that they’re exclusively mafia vs town, is it different here?
Last GMan escape game had an indie, he likes indies a lot AFAIK. Couldn’t find it explicitly in the OP, but I’d say pretty good chance of there being one.
tedxtr wrote: ↑Thu Oct 08, 2020 1:15 pm
@Ash Lael why were you wolf reading Hally?
You said you had 20 reasons to call her a villa and 20 more to call her wolf. Can you dive into those reasons?
No, I said I had 20 reasons to call her town and the fact that I had 20 reasons to call her town made me think she might be a wolf. I had an idea in my head that maybe she put more effort into looking towny as a wolf.
And then I remembered SF3 and realised that was dumb.

I think TSP is a wolf because he hasn’t posted about Taylor Swift once.
I’m only half joking.

Oh, no one’s on to ask me to expand. Ok I’ll do it myself.
I feel like Tony is pretty subdued so far in a way I don’t expect from his town self. There’s no real meme energy. There’s no real solve energy. It’s kind of how I felt about Michelle’s opening. “I’m here, here’s some reads, obligation fulfilled, later guys.”
The reads he’s making are pretty perfunctory, it doesn’t feel like there’s a lot of belief behind them or it would take much to shift them. After 30 or so pages he really ought to have some stronger opinions I think.
